Project Description:

The project is a unique luxury boutique hotel requiring seismic bracing and a full rehabilitation of the 7 story historic Renoir Hotel flatiron building located in San Francisco’s mid market district.  The new property has 142 guestrooms, 3 restaurant & bar offerings, a fitness center, & conference facilities.   A challenging project under normal circumstances, due to numerous discoveries of unusual existing conditions, construction progress suffered a devastating set-back at approximately the one quarter completion mark when fire and the associated water damage destroyed the building interior.  After a protracted period of delay of negotiations, the project restarted with a new general contractor and the re-assembled project team successfully collaborated to deliver this luxury quality product

Role:  Project observation and reporting on behalf of project investor.  Attended weekly owner, architect, & contractor project meetings.  Reviewed project performance against schedule, change order logs, & monthly billing.  Prepared weekly reports for internal client review and formal monthly reports for client distribution to investor group.
