Mariposa County Courthouse

Project Description:
The historic Mariposa County Courthouse is the oldest operating courthouse in the state of California. The project identified a series of improvements required to preserve historic resource and enhance building performance, accessibility, & operational security. Broken into phases to conform to funding restrictions, the first phase addresses seismic bracing of the foundation, clock tower, and chimney as well as the rehabilitation of the exterior siding, windows, & doors and replacement of the roofs. Subsequent phases address interior and site accessibility, including the addition of an elevator, restroom upgrades, modifications of the jury room & courtroom & a new exterior entry ramp leading up to the main entrance.
Role: Cost Consultant from Conceptual through Construction Documents phases
Project Dates: First phase comprised of seismic bracing, exterior facade rehabilitation, and roof replacement was completed in 2017
