Location:  San Francisco Presidio National Park, California

Project Description:

A $1.5M revitalization of a signature view point on the east side of the Golden Gate Bridge in the Presidio of San Francisco.  It includes the conversion of a gravel lot into a newly graded and paved 76 space parking lot.  The site features a curved step concrete overlook structure providing a gathering place with sweeping views of the Golden Gate Bridge and SF Bay.  In also includes upgrades to the multi-use pedestrian and bicycle trail connecting existing trails to the Golden Gate Bridge plaza and Crissy Field.  The site incorporates bio-filtration basins as central component of the drainage system. R. Borinstein Company was engaged as the cost estimator by the Golden Gate National Parks Conservancy to prepare multiple phases of estimates for Schematic Design and Design Development.
