PARTIAL LIST OF COMPLETED PROJECTS

New Construction

• Hamilton Marketplace - Novato, CA.  New award winning  suburban infill shopping complex with 90,000 sf of retail on a 9.5 acre site involving a complex flood control system to protect the downstream bay wetlands.  Early stage assistance and consulation with seasoned development team requesting supplemental resources to initiate construction phase.   

• T Gary Rogers Boathouse – Oakland, CA.  New world class, three building training facility on the Oakland estuary for the University of California crew team.  Work includes marine dredging and construction for a new performance dock and Bay Trail segment necessitating strict compliance with regulatory requirements of NOAA Fisheries, Army Corp of Engineers, SFBCDC, and the Regional Water Quality District.  Pre-construction planning/estimating services and construction phase management.

• The Bentley School Gymnasium – Lafayette, CA.   New high school gymnasium and athletic facilities including a remote parking lot and associated storm water control system to protect adjacent riparian environment.  Pre-construction planning/estimating services and construction phase management.

• Figueroa at Wilshire / Sanwa Bank Plaza – Los Angeles, CA.  New 52 story high rise office building with 5 floors of underground parking structure and 2 six story glass artia.   Primary responsibility for the procurement and management of granite and glass curtainwall system and coordination of glass atria, building window washing system, plaza stonework, interior stone work, and ornamental metals.

Historic Renovation and Seismic Strengthening

• Church Divinity School of the Pacific – Berkeley, CA.  Seismic bracing of the historic masonry Gibbs Hall designed by Walter Ratcliff and the seismic bracing and renovation of Easton Hall, a 1925 wood and brick fraternity house.  Easton Hall was fully renovated as a conference center with 12 guest rooms and administrative offices.  Pre-construction planning and construction phase management.

• Ky Ebright Boathouse – Oakland, CA.  Relocation and restoration of the boathouse used by  the University of California crew for over 70 years.  This historic structure, built in 1924 and home to over 27 gold medalists, was picked-up and relocated down the Oakland estuary shoreline to the new T Gary Rogers Boathouse facility site.  Pre-construction and construction phase management.

• San Francisco Theological Seminary – San Anselmo, CA.  Seismic bracing and renovation of Scott and Montgomery Halls, the iconic romanesque bluestone and Colusa sandstone castle structures built in 1894 prominantly overlooking the Ross Valley.  Includes a full restoration of exterior stone walls, slate roof, and copper flashing, renovation and restoration of interior spaces, and modernization of utilities.  Pre-construction and construction phase management.

• Congregation Sherith Israel – San Francisco, CA.  Preliminary budget estimate study for the seismic bracing of this historic sanctuary built in 1904.  Serving as a temporary court house after surviving the 1906 earthquake, the expansive and ornate interior sanctuary space coupled with the Colusa sanstone exterior represents a unique and difficult structural challenge.    

Tenant Improvement & Building System Retrofit

• Advent Software – San Francisco, CA.  Interior build-out of approximately 60,000 square feet of office space over a period of 8 years within occupied San Francisco buildings.  Estimating, planning, and construction phase management.

• Advent Software, Data Center – San Francisco, CA.   New data center housing web based financial services computer servers located in a midrise office building.  Included roof mounted mechanical equipment and installation of FM 200 chemical fire suppression system and pre-action automatic sprinkler system.  Estimating, planning, and construction phase  management.

• Publicis and Hal Riney – San Francisco.  Interior build-out of 100,000 square feet of office, presentation spaces, recording studio, and high end conference space completed within a period of 6 months.  Estimating, planning, and construction phase management.

• Huntington Hotel, HVAC Retrofit – San Francisco, CA.  Retrofit HVAC system into 136 hotel guest rooms in operating facility.  Includes installation of roof top cooling tower, gas absorption chiller, and associated mechanical structural platform and screen.  Preconstruction planning and construction phase management.

• Dolby Laboratories - San Francisco, CA.  Interior build-out of 75,000 square feet of  office space within an occupied building.  Includes construction of specialized acoustically isolated sound rooms for testing of Dolby products.  Preconstruction planning and construction phase management

Parkland Facilities and Trails

• Visitor Access Facilities, Redwood Creek Restoration - Muir Beach, CA.  Design Development phase budget study and consultation on a new 80,000sf parking and visitor access facilities integrated into newly restored riparian site.

1. Hawk Hill, Hill 129 Master Plan - Marin Headlands, CA.  Schematic phase budget study of visitor access amenities , accessible hiking trail, and preservation of WWII and Nike era military facilities. 

• Presidio Coastal Trail - Western Overlook District.   Schematic phase budget study for upgrading the Coastal Trail and integrating new overlook and public gathering and picnic facilities among historic coastal defensive batteries in the San Francisco Presidio National Park overlooking the Golden Gate.
